1. What if no plants appear on my potential plants list?
If no plants appear on your potential plants list, check to see if you have:
Specified contradictory requirements
VegSpec works like a series of filters, each additional entry invokes additional filters which results in less plants.
navigated back using your browser arrows and, therefore, not saved plant choices
cked a cumulative box on any screen and not checked every pertaining feature
Review your selection criteria. In particular, pay attention to the practices and purposes chosen, as some of these limit plant types dramatically. Often times this is caused by specifying more than one purposes or multiple sub-purposes. The Optional Plant Characteristics at the bottom of the Objectives screen is designed to be optional. In many cases you may not need to enter any data. The more data you enter, the shorter the list of VegSpec suggested plants.
If all else fails, press the Start Over button and carefully re-enter all data. If you still receive no plants, please press the Contact Us and send us an e-mail. We need to know everything about your site description, all of your specific objectives. We need to be able to run VegSpec exactly as you did so we can determine exactly what caused the problem.
