Soil Attributes Suboptions

Soil Attributes primarily describe the surface texture, rock depths, and water levels of the soil on your site. Many of these fields are populated after you have entered the Soil Survey Area Id and the Soil Map Unit.

Entering Soil Attributes

  1. Enter your user-specific data in any non-populated fields. Your mlra must be selected from the Plant Adaptation Zone field for accurate vegetative results.
    Note: Select mlra for detailed information to identify mlra for your site. 

  2. Select Site Description after entering or modifying any fields.

note.gif (1023 bytes) If there is missing, or conflicting data on Soil Attributes Suboptions screen, VegSpec will not allow user to move from Site Description screen to Objectives screen. A message will be displayed in red print when you try to move to Objectives screen.
