Alleopathic

The detrimental effect of one plant species on another, caused by chemicals in the leaf litter or root exudates that inhibit seed germination and/or plant growth in adjacent plants of a different species. Inclusion of an allelopathic species may inhibit the long-term maintainability of the desired plant community. Has this plant species been shown to be allelopathic to at least one other species?
